Our Board of Directors has chosen to take an active role in both the day-to-day activities of Leah's Pantry as well as the governance aspects of our organization.

Here are some things our Board members have done over the past two years:

• Convened a strategic planning process which resulted in the successful launch of the Food Smarts Training Program.
• Helped plan an execute our first fundraising event in September 2010
• Taught Food Smarts Workshops in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco
• Participated in community fairs on behalf of Leah's Pantry
• Taught as faculty in the Food Smarts Training Program
• Lent a hand helping shuttle materials around San Francisco
• Attended community talks and events to make contacts for Leah's Pantry
• Attended conferences like Andrew Weil's Nutrition and Health Conference and the recent Slow Money National Gathering at Fort Mason
• Connected Leah's Pantry with opportunities for pro bono consulting to help improve our impact measures
• Gave legal advice for IP and copyright issues
• Helped solve impact measurement problems by suggesting a great software solution
• Contributing recipes to our newsletter!

Pretty amazing!  We are so much stronger because of our amazing Board of Directors.
